Join Shona Perkins for a 5 day Creative Seascape Photography workshop exploring the vast and beautiful Moray coast. Situated in the North East of Scotland, Moray borders Abedeenshire, Inverness and the Highlands, making it remote yet easily accessible. It boasts some of Scotland's finest beaches, dramatic cliffs, quaint fishing villages and more than five hundred million years of geological history. The Moray Firth is also one of the most renowned places on the British coast for observing dolphins and whales.
Focussing primarily on ICM photography, Shona will gently coach and guide you on all the processes, techniques and considerations she applies to her own work, teaching you all there is to know about Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) and creating ethereal and impactful images.
To support this further, there will also be a very special workshop session with local therapeutic nature photographer and author, Kim Grant. Kim has lived in Moray all her life and has a deep connection with this very special location. specialising in combining photography with mindfulness practice, Kim encourages people to slow down and use their senses to connect more deeply with the world around them. Kim will spend time guiding you through the benefits of engaging all your senses, enabling you to create more meaningful and emotive images.
Both Shona and Kim strongly believe in the importance of finding a sense of place, connecting with the landscape you are in, using your senses to enhance how you translate your emotional response to your environment. A Sense of Place creates experiences that connect people to each other, to nature and to their own creativity.
