It’s the 10-year anniversary! The Big Day has been Ireland’s premier event for landscape photography since 2016, drawing both local and international audiences with an impressive line-up of speakers.

Workshops & Retreats
We run residential workshops and retreats across Scotland and the UK, specialising in Seascape and intentional camera movement (ICM photography).
Spend time with like-minded creatives with a considered focus on expressive photographic techniques using ICM, multiple exposure, long exposures and a variety of different abstract techniques.
Expect to switch off from the world and immerse yourself in the quiet solitude
and tranquillity one gets from spending time by the sea.

I joined Shona for a trip to Harris
An island I know from previous family holidays - but our week was a revelation.
Shona’s organisation in terms of knowing the weather, the different states of the tides and when to be where was invaluable. Returning to a beach a few times gave very different results and was a great learning experience.
Shona has a gift for quietly instructing and knowing what each client needs, boosting confidence as we all learn new techniques and allowing everyone the space to play and learn at their own pace.

And excitement about all our experiences. Thank you so much for creating a space where I could try and explore your painterly methods to create images I have always dreamed of making. Your patience and continual assistance with me to learn how to use my camera as a paintbrush is greatly appreciated. A new form of creativity was unleashed and it was glorious.
