This is a truly special workshop experience for Creative & ICM Photographers, allowing you the time and focus to work on defining your personal style,

response to your environment and how you convey this in a way completely unique to you.

Join Shona and Mark for a 3 day creative photography workshop at the beautiful beach of West Wittering. Located at the mouth of Chichester Harbour, West Wittering is famous for its long stretches of soft sand, clear shallow waters and vast tidal pools. A haven for seascape photographers!
Based just a short walk from the beach, we will be staying at an elegant and chic 'New England' style coastal guest house, in the quaint village of West Wittering, West Sussex. With seven en-suite rooms, each designed for relaxation and comfort, we will acquire full occupancy of this charming home.
Focussing primarily on ICM photography, Shona and Mark will gently coach and guide you on all the processes, techniques and considerations they both apply to their own work, teaching you all there is to know about Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) and creating ethereal and impactful images.
The vast scale of the Wittering's also offers potential for exploring a variety of abstract techniques and you will be encouraged to experiment with in camera multiple exposures, more intimate scenes, colour, shape and texture.
To support this further, there will also be a very special workshop session with the wonderfully talented contemporary photographic artist Wendy Bagnall. The natural landscape is the inspiration behind Wendy's work, which is an interpretation of what she sees. Wendy's approach is unrestrictive and often with an abstract quality, augmenting the light, texture and topography of the landscape, creating pieces that aim to evoke an emotional connection with the viewer.
Both Shona and Mark strongly believe in the importance of project based photography, building a coherent portfolio of work and understand the importance of repeat visits to a location at different times of the day, helping you connect and find a sense of place.
This is a unique opportunity allowing you to work on defining your personal style, creating a body of work that tells the story of this location, reflecting how you see the landscape around you, your emotional response to your environment and how you convey this in a way completely unique to you.
NB: Experience using filters and operating in manual mode will be beneficial for this workshop.
